Calling all budding journalists, broadcasters and social media enthusiasts

Media Diversity Institute London and GSI Italia are now accepting applications to participate in ‘Let the Roma Youth Be Heard’,an exciting 9 month- long multimedia journalism project for young people, by young people.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about social media, develop your journalism and online publishing skills, and promote integration and intercultural dialogue in your community.
Your articles, photos, video and radio pieces will be published widely on websites, blogs, facebook pages. At the end of the project the best pieces will be part of an exhibition at the Contemporary Arts and Learning in London
We offer:
FREE media training for 3 days that will take place at the beginning of September in London – all travel and accommodation costs covered

1 to 1 and mentoring scheme delivered by five media experts over a period of 9 months

 2 days group research outings

  • Are you of Roma/ Gypsy/ Traveller background aged between 13 - 17 or 18 - 30 residing in Great Britain?
  • Are you interested in journalism and multimedia broadcasting?
  • Do you want to have your voice heard? Are you interested in sharing your thoughts, experiences and stories through websites, blogs and social networks?
  • Are you interested in hands-on contribution towards multimedia articles (words, videos, radio) promoting a worthwhile community endeavour, to be published bimonthly on the world-wide-web?
