Holocaust film - And the Violins Stopped Playing

This is a film about the Romani's or Gypsies' story within the Holocaust. They have a name for this period, they call it the Porajmos or the Devouring. Academics put the death of the Romani people from 220,000 to 1.5 million. There has been little information about the other victims of the Nazi's planned extermination, of what they considered to be, racially and culturally inferior people. Just like the Jews of Europe, the Roma were put into Ghettos and then into the extermination camps of Auschwitz, Treblinka and Sobibor. Unfortunately, the Porajmos has largely been forgotten. But there is some sort of revival taking place, with more memorials and access to archives relating to the Roma people under the Nazi government.
